ATTENTION VANTAGE MESSAGING USERS
Until recently, companies have been able to send messages using their 10-digit ‘office’ phone number, or ‘landlines’, just like they do with mobile phone numbers. However, recent changes within the mobile communications industry, aimed at reducing the use of SMS messaging for spamming or other malicious activity, have resulted in a new registration requirement. This is known as 10DLC Registration. ‘10DLC’ stands for 10-digit long code, like your main business phone number or individual DID number.
Major mobile carriers (such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile) implemented 10DLC Registration to prevent unauthorized or unscrupulous parties from posing as legitimate businesses and spamming or scamming text recipients. They created an organization called The Campaign Registry (TCR) to administer the verification process and maintain a master database of registered companies and telephone numbers.
10DLC registration is the process of verifying your business, confirming that the business numbers used to text customers, prospects, vendors, etc. are associated with your company, and that your messaging use cases are legitimate. The result is that mobile carriers know you are not a spammer, and they deliver your messages to your intended recipients on their networks. Texts from 10DLC phone numbers that are not registered may be delayed or blocked by many of the leading mobile carriers.
To ensure that your messages are delivered, Vantage will assist you with registering your company and phone numbers for texting use. Registration is a requirement that any business who wants to send SMS messages to their customers, using non-mobile numbers, needs to address. Vantage will assist you by submitting information to TCR on your behalf. The vetting process is not performed by Vantage or its carrier partners. The vetting process is conducted by an entity associated with/ approved by TCR.
Various voice carriers have implemented the 10DLC Registration requirement already. Many mobile and standard telephony carriers recently announced a deadline on Feb 1st, 2025, for registration. If you are a current Vantage messaging user, an information kit was emailed to you earlier in the month.
If you did not receive a 10DLC Registration Information Kit, or did not act on the information provided, and would like to register for messaging services, please email us at 10DLC@vantage.com, or call customer support at 611, or 800 493-3750.

Vantage Holiday Celebrations

Vantage kicked off the holiday celebrations with an ugly sweater contest. It was an entertaining day in office with lights and colors galore on our sweaters. Our showstopper (winner) was Paul who created his own ‘ugly (fun)’ sweater with the faces of his colleagues on the design. If you wonder how ‘Ugly Christmas Sweater (UCS)’ made its entry into the American culture of festive celebrations, read about it here. We bid goodbye to 2024 and welcomed the new year with a fun party at The Dubliner on the Delaware, a really cool Irish pub in our awesome quaint little town of New Hope.
